That is a pretty impressive pace for a rogaine given it was cross country, required navigating and control punching. Well done.

Congratulations on the effort expended!

Our 'minigaines' tend to be Q&A so the pace is usually pretty dismal trying to look for stupid cryptic clues, especially when the circle's not in the right place, which happens all too often on these.

@Prue - no, it was urban, so that's the distance for going around all the streets etc. Thankfully SARA went away from Q&A for minigaines (which is to say, responsibility for the minigaine was taken away from the scouts) a few years ago and now all our rogaines use Navlight.

I still remember one of the novelty rogaines which asked for the number of wooden posts on a pavillion fence. We triple counted them and still got it wrong.

Typically it's the setter that gets the answer wrong. We once had everyone in an event get an answer wrong because the setter had one answer and everyone else had another but there was no changing his mind.

I remember one question regarding the colour of a fence. It was one of those in- between colours and l thought it was was green. But the organiser insisted that grey was the correct colour and all other answers were marked wrong.

In those cases the answer needs to be black and white.

My parent's place was just around the corner from the Hash House. Fun to see many familiar streets and parks from my youth used.

They did walk to the event, right?

Yes. They managed first in the XUV category. They even did their route choice planning at home after collecting their map before returning to the start.
