What sort of state were you in that prompted this? They really that nervous of Arthur’s seat in mist? Take it you just laughed it off?

I was in a cheerful mood, Friday evening after all, but was certainly fatigued so perhaps some wobbliness prompted their concerns.
In fairness, you really couldn't see very far and those rocks can be treacherous when wet. When I asked if they were having a good evening they said not really because they couldn't see anything.
I declined the kind offer of an escort off the hill, they also asked if I had been up here before which I did enjoy.

Funnily enough I also passed some others on Crow hill who warned me that it was very slippy and to be careful on the way down, so I suppose I must have been giving off an air of vulnerability.

Glad to hear of the Friday evening cheerfulness, one can be excused for some fatigue. Hard to imagine there are many in the city who don't know of the battle-hardened Alistair Masson by this stage, but always good to get some new fans.
Indeed the seat can be treacherous, I shouldn't dismiss it, but next time tell the walkers to turn that frown upside down! Not many experience it in what sounds like wild conditions.
