Nope, just stopped the watch on purpose when I reached the pond, as I planned to look around a little, see if there was any wildlife, maybe take a few photos, all preferably without falling in the water. All accomplished. And then when I was set to head back and do some brisk walking again, turned the watch back on. But I'd moved a bit in the meantime.
My new Forerunner, a 425, is much better than my old one (220) at getting a good signal. I don't know if having it set to also access Russian satellites has anything to do with it.
Partway back there was some stonework left over from the time when folks were living, and trying to make a living, up in these rocky hills.
