Did you get sick or just respond to the tell tale rash? I remember there was a booth at ORingen where they were selling vaccinations. Have you ever got immunized?
O is taking a hammering here--even Darkside is shut down for the moment. XC is going strong though--about 3 or 4 weeks earlier than typical so we are happy about that.
We continue to enjoy the photos of your hikes.

I didn't get sick in any way and the rash wasn't itchy and it was on my back so didn't really notice it much. And I didn't remove or see a tick there so when I first had a small red mark in September I just assumed it was some other insect bite. Anyway, if Lyme is left untreated for a longer period of time you can get some really serious problems so good I went to the doctor. Lyme is a bacterial infection and there is no vaccine for it at the moment. There was one in the past though and looks like there might be a vaccine in the future:

The vaccination you saw at ORingen is for a virus called TBE for which there is no treatment if you get it. Yes, we are all vaccinated for that here. The orienteering clubs have programs for it.

Yes, Covid 19 is exploding here now so restrictions are down to 8 person gatherings and everything is shut down, except outdoor training for children under 15 in small groups. There is definitely no XC here yet. Unusually warm November with only a couple of mornings with frost.
