Discussion: Volunteer Park

Created a new map for training purposes in South Lyon. This is totally unsanctioned, so if questioned by anyone say your hiking please.

Streamers are bright Green, not numbered. 4 & 23 are not streamered as they are obvious.

Map is somewhat field checked, marshes are generally dry at the moment, except in the deepest parts. 1m contours, 1:7500 so have fun with that! Off trail is a bunch of old homesteads in the SW, so expect old junk/trash, overgrown in spots, not too many thorns, but burrs are very present in the fields. If anything is missing or wrong, you can email me, but well this is training so just enjoy.

Park in between the soccer fields. Paved Bike Path runs north/south along the east edge of the park, follow to Start / Finish at the gazebo for a warm up/cool down. Course is 4k straight line, orange to green level perhaps. Available on Livelox and Uysnligo.

I echo the thanks. Managed to do my slush run out there during sundown a few days ago and had a great time.

Hopefully my tracks were mostly gone and not too helpful.

I was wondering whose tracks those were :D no, I try to ignore tracks when I see them...its playing w/ fire following 'em! But I did see we often picked the same routings... when I wasn't spatially confused, lol.
