| fletch: | I was going to suggest that if you wanted to run fast again, you may need to cut the total hours a bit and put a bit more quality in. 5 years ago you did quality intervals, a hill session and a weekend race every week, with whatever riding and swimming you did on top. bit different to now?? |

| Tooms: | And a long run Weds that was fast, and a ride Tues, Thurs +hill ride Sat a.m. plus 4-5 swim sessions a week. Main part of the problem is I am turning up to running shattered. Better sleep and more regular riding and tolerance will go up. Next week is an easier week. And then once Karri ride is over I will lay off the junk bike ks. |

| Tooms: | Ah, but I had the base gained in the two preceding years which lasted till about '04. The times/old logs show it clearly. Biggest factor is neuroma and hammy pain that shortened my stride since 2002 onwards. |
