Did they by any chance leave an air bubble in there?

I am quite sure you are an optimal patient. Also, that you might well enjoy being a spectator while your body is being subjected to some serious abuse in the process of fixing something.

I find that I am quite happy to be all, or at least mostly, in la-la land.

But then you used to be (and still are?) an EMT and so quite used to blood and gore and mayhem.

Hope things heal up quickly, and that today's procedure helps!

Sorry to hear you had to go through this. I had sinus surgery in 2008 after living with a totally clogged right sinus for 40 years. I did this because somehow the sinus pressure was sucking my right eyeball into my skull, making it noticeably recessed (and maybe the cause of some double vision). The worst memories were post-op having to flush my sinuses with a "neti pot". But I was back to running in about a week.

I think the whole point was t get an air bubble in there. Hope they were successful. And no, not an EMT anymore. It’s been about 26 years.

Well done Charlie! Glad you got in one last row this morning before shoving off to the hospital...may be a while before you can exert yourself like that again. Hope the biopsy comes out clean, and drainage is complete

I am also sure that you are an optimal patient, Charlie. I am guessing that it is reassuring and good to have found out what the likely cause for your vertigo is.

But I guess the more pressing question is whether any of the nurses you encountered needed some life counseling/advice (since you know someone well who is quite skilled with that sort of thing)?

Hope you will be feeling great soon! Remember that a couple of blueberry cupcakes can make almost any situation better.

I miss our rides together to various venues so we can chat about our respective concerns. I had no idea you were dealing with this latest challenge. Best wishes we can declare this one resolved.

Hmm, I guess you will be more empty headed now :) which, in this case, will be a good thing! It's interesting, but a bit depressing, to find out about all these ailments as I get older.

That doesn't sound so pleasant, but I hope recovery goes well!
