What kind of music do you like? What kind of podcasts? Or are you ok with literally anything?

find a good song and loop it for 12 hours

Danny Riley:
Spotify says I've listened to most genres except country and pop. As for podcasts, just something either entertaining or informing (so pretty much anything).

I did listen to Minnesota by Lil Yachty 10 times in a row when I drove to Minnesota earlier this year, but I'm going east now so looping it for 12 hours isn't an option anymore, unfortunately.

Hmmm ok.

Podcast-wise:
Ologies by Alie Ward is really great because there are tons of episodes about so many different things that I would argue anyone could find at least one episode that they are interested in. My favorites are the Dendrology Episode and the Snow Hydrology episode.
If you like trees, and enjoy(ed) the dendrology episode of Ologies, Completely Arbortrary is the same tree dude and his friend "reviewing" trees, and it's quite interesting and funny (if you can't tell, I'm a little nerdy when it comes to trees :) )
Outside of science, 99% Invisible has a lot of interesting stuff. I really enjoyed listening to The Mojave Phone Booth (Episode 202), Sounds Natural (Episode 256), and Space Trash, Space Treasure (Episode 233).
Also, debatably the most important in this community, there is The Run In which is about the Brit's orienteering scene, and is a really interesting listen.

Music-wise:
Geography by Tom Misch is pretty good.
Sam Tompkins is always a good shout too.
Some chill, calmer stuff
And then there is always the Car rides with AJ list if you want some more upbeat stuff (though there are a few odd songs out that are more chill)

I don't know if any of these will be to your liking, and I'm sorry if this is more than you've wanted :)

At 12 hours there’s no such thing as more than I wanted. I’ll queue them up for the trip.

You heading back to school then?
Jan 22, 2021 4:11 PM #
Danny Riley:
Yeah. Classes don’t start for another two weeks though, we just have a mandatory early arrival to quarantine.

Ah that's awesome. Do you have in person classes then?
Jan 22, 2021 5:31 PM #
Danny Riley:
Some of them in-person, some of them online. I'm also taking a fencing class cause why not.

Nice. And a fencing class sounds like a blast. You've gotta let us know how it goes :)

Anything to log more AP hours, right?

Seems timely since fencers already wear masks, and they carry a measuring device to help keep others 6 feet away from them!
