I had trouble with UsynligO seeing cp6. Switched on distance and then tried to find it by distance changes.

What setting do you have for control radius?

Probably you were in the wrong place. Disqualified.

I think I had it on 25m. Still took some time waiting at some of the controls for it to catch up and register.

Huh. I will set it to 25m

I suspect it is more about georeferencing precision

I had a bit of trouble with my phone also. I'm thinking the phone sensor quality makes a difference. It seemed like the Mrs. iPhone worked better than my android. In the trees was also worse but I think that's expected with any gps signal.

Yeah I think the Lincoln Park map is a bit wonky in general.

Yeah, some of those old maps are wonky. I've remade or updated the following:

Shoreview/Shoreline College. The old one was pretty distorted in the woods, the worst of the bunch. (My 2015 update isn't perfect in the woods, as the LIDAR was from 2000 and has some issues. There's new LIDAR since my update)

Lynndale Park. My original plan was just to convert the old map to ISSOM, but it was distorted enough that I decided to remap everything from scratch (this was back in 2017 when I was child-free and had the flexibility to work long days to get it done in time).

Hamlin Park & Surroundings. This was a hybrid. I remapped the schools and urban park bits from scratch, but I didn't have the time to fix the wooded parts (esp Hamlin Park) because there was too much distortion. The map makes enough sense relative to itself, but it's not going to be perfect with the phone apps.

Woodland Park. I completely remade this one, but the original one (from the 70's) was surprisingly pretty good. I don't remember any distortion.

North Seattle College. I remapped this one from scratch, but the previous one was relatively new and made by Eric, so it was pretty decent, but it pre-dated ISSOM, so it made more sense to start from scratch since it is so complicated.

I also had trouble getting my gps to record #7 on the shoreview red course. It's a weird style of o'ing using the app. #4 on shoreview red rang while I was still on the main trail.
