It's super crazy! Kate already attempted it in November somewhere near Yea but the weather was awful and she pulled out at 6800m elevation or something. This one was much better!

Trying to think of a suitably famous 3000m mountain. Fuji's about 3700 from memory.

One of my work colleagues was in the Yea one (successfully).

Ahh thanks Blair, I hadn't thought of that. A few girls who were there on Sunday did what's known in cycling circles as a "base camp" (but actually isn't the equivalent of climbing to base camp as it's only a half-Everest) so we were trying to think of an equivalent to that.

Ah, nice! They must be made of pretty strong stuff, looked awful.

Mt Agung on Bali and Mt Haleakala on Maui both come in at around 3000m
