Sending recovery vibes!

Also maybe they should figure out a better dining hall strategy, based on your comment yesterday!

So sorry! I know you were being so careful, too. I hope you get through it without feeling too bad, and have no long term issues.

Thanks Cristina and Peggy

I agree that they need to change the dining hall strategy, but I don't think they will. At least now I am avoiding it and have literally no way of passing it to anyone else :)

I'm so sorry, Bridget! I know you've been as careful as can be. I hope you can have an asymptomatic illness and an easy isolation period. Sending love <3

Thanks everyone! I'm still going to try and do school work so I've got plenty going on, though I think my head will be the deciding factor on how often I am actually able to work. Right now I can get stuff done but it is pretty hard to concentrate, and if it gets worse I'm not sure I'll be able to. Will keep AP updated though as a way to track symptoms for myself, and to be able to look back on because this will definitely be an experience to remember...

Really sorry to read this. Here's hoping for a quick recovery.

Take care of yourself! Rest (mental as well as physical) is important for fighting illness. But you know that and I'm not your mom. (I'm sure your real mom will chime in if she hasn't already.)

Thanks! I'm definitely doing the physical resting, though if I want to keep up with school the mental rest is going to be quite difficult sadly...

If one mom is great, which it is, of course, then multiple moms is even more great!
I'll emphasize, rest. Sleep. Email your profs and get extensions. Don't try to do work if you feel lousy. Getting well is the only priority right now.

Hugs. Virtual ones. And +1 to your mom's (moms'?) comment about not feeling like you need to prioritize anything besides your own health, too. Some of my grad school classmates were sick last spring, and those who tried to still come to Zoom class just seemed miserable. We all understood when a project partner needed some down time to recover. Our profs were great about it, too. It's ok to take care of yourself, first, whatever you think that needs to look like.

I am so so sorry to hear this. Currently enmeshed in my own quarantine for "close" contact, and hoping it comes to nothing. I hope you get through it without too much pain and suffering!

One thing that I have now been educated in, having been through several Covid mitigation zooms with the USST, is that you should be very very cautious in your return to exercise once you're feeling better. Apparently there is a risk of myocarditis, and you should undergo an echocardiogram and stress test before returning to training, at least anything harder than a walk.

Sending virtual hugs and hot chocolate :(

Definitely good to know, thank you Alex! And I hope you're able to get out of quarantine without any positive cases :)
