Andy says we have to wait two weeks to let things relax more, and then assess again. I would guess surgery. They talk about some people getting by without an ACL but I think my lifestyle would ask too much.

I tore my MCL along with an avulsion fracture and it eventually recovered without surgery. Bazingadog OTOH got surgery for a torn cruciate ligament and was back to supercanine after.

Yours was a partial tear though. If you tear your ACL, it’s great to be a dog. (Technically, they have a CCL - “Cranial”.) Both our dogs returned to full activity and one of them refused the rehab exercises. Wishing the same full recovery for you, CO!

Thanks for the encouraging news of all three beasts returning to their impressive form again :) (stories like this help, and put my mind at ease)
