Well done. The soccerplex was fun, but not a big technical challenge. I think I'll go back and do a couple of the wooded windows on my own. I've never been in that northern (A-E) window area. (I went w/ Nadim on his first recon of the park last year, and ran the SW window area just last month.)

I actually felt remarkably strong, surprising given my lack of running lately, but just not *fast.* Guess my "fast" days are way behind me. (Then again, it's all relative, isn't it?)

I agree with both of those positions. I'm not fast any more, but I'm age-group fast. And it is pretty hard to go fast in winter. Pulling a lot of very cold air into your lungs does damage (not that we've had that situation around here). But my intent is to keep up the slow easy runs in the winter, then add some speed work when things warm up, and presto, get fast, just like that.

And apparently, short strides are a sort of miracle speed additive.
