Pretty sure the parkrun that started in outback Qld recently (Longreach - Old Thomson River Rd) takes the cake for boringness. There's a bend at the start but then it's dead straight for 2+km on a disused bitumen road before turning around and heading back. Not much to see once you get clear of the trees either.
I actually don't mind road-to-nowhere runs in the outback (and in fact had a pretty decent one
in Longreach a few years back) - there's a certain purity when it's nothing except you and a strip of dirt/bitumen extending to the horizon.
Well I did a few dirt road runs while I was up at Dalwallinu last year that were okay but I wasn't racing at the time. If I turn around and see a 2km stretch of nothing in front of me (kind of like the back straight at Champion Lakes) then I get depressed.
Liv's definitely getting better: https://www.attackpoint.org/viewlog.jsp/user_12469...

tRicky - I found newy boring, and despite a change in start area to enable a return post covid it's still boring. 100m curve, 1km straight, veer curve for 150m, 1.3km straight, turn, 1.3 km straight, veer curve for 150m ,straight 1km, 100m curve , finish. You can sure build up a head of steam!
