Not bad at all. When I restart roller skiing every fall it always feels difficult for 2-4 weeks. My arms are weak and my legs glutes and hips aren't used to the skating motion. I think / hope that after a few weeks you'll get into the groove of things.
I don't think that'll happen this year. I thought about what you said about no poling. It was only after I did that could I even attempt V2. I don't trust myself going no poling at the moment. Today's race was fantastic. I love watching not just the adults, the kids too. They are unbelievable. There's an eleven year old I coach at footie that beat everyone on the 7.5k. There is always hope. Think technique and efficiency over muscle. Rewatch your video of kendelll. She just steps one ski to another Just march along not thinking about speed. Just shift weight left then right then left then right. Kendall does just that.
That's funny. Kendal's skate technique is much smoother than mine. She glides up hills. I beat her up just on effort. But at the top I watch her and it's effortless.
