Have been meaning to ask you for more details on your leg massage doobrey. Part of the issue with my long-term back injury is that I end up with a mess of knots all through my glutes, which contribute to my back being out of whack and take forever (days/weeks) to iron out with the old tennis ball method. I've been thinking that it might be worth trying something else to pummel the knots out. You've been having some success with your gizmo; would you recommend it?
It's worked 100% for my quad issues and has paid for itself many, many times over already over getting a massage. Easy to do quads on your own, may be a bit harder to get right into your glutes - but one good thing about it is that it's not too onerous on a volunteer looking for pocket money to help you and a few minutes is enough.
Ta. What is the gizmo you have?
I got this one as it was the most informative review I could find at the time:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSwifhoTkoI. The video gives a good overview of what to look for and what you get. I've not used any others so can't tell you is one for a third of the price is much different to the one for three times the price! But it's doing what I want it to do so I'm satisfied.

https://rstoration.com/rstoration41013342Looks gimicky but it worked for me. I suspect your issues don't just stem by/from/to glutes and/or back.
Thanks Gary, I'll take a look at that! I'll save you by not droning on about my "issues" - basically I should be in the knacker's yard but am too thick to give up. If I can keep on top of the knots and locked LB muscles I should be OK to keep moving at my old man pace for a while longer!
We have something called a thumper but my brother has one similar to the one marcus linked to and it's better.
Toni if it thumps me really hard between the eyeballs it might solve all the problems in one go ;-)
They all sound and look very dodgy to me. I guess that's what comes of middle age and being Locked Down :-)
