I liked long skating on ice in Sweden a lot. There a miles of streets shut down near me for pedestrians, skating, biking etc.

Was thinking of getting skates or roller blades. Do you know what kind would feel most like long distance ice skating? IE - could go out for an hour and go for distance.

Ooh that sounds fun!!! I'm guessing inline skates, but I know less about those, so I asked in this speed skating group I'm in! Do you/did you have your own skates in Sweden? Apparently ice skates can be converted! And they said there's lots of good distance setups and the difference is often $$, and also boot type (low cut or something with a cuff, whatever a cuff is!). I could try to put you in touch with one of the people in the group, or relay a few follow-up questions/answers :) In the meantime, here's a link they shared to some inline skates! https://bont.com/pages/inline-skates?fbclid=IwAR2y...

I also know lots of people who do long-ish outdoor skates on quad skates, and so if you decided to go that route I could recommend skates/wheels!
