Ok I uploaded video so you can see him having fun, too. Here's Lukas on his bike and on foot.

I realize now that the videos are also a demonstration of how much he likes to talk, something that I'm sure I have nothing to do with.

I love that he provides his own play-by-play.

He's going to need a bigger bike soon!

Yes, he's too big for this 16er! I already got him another red bike but with 20" wheels, it arrived last week. He has ridden it successfully but I'd say it basically fits with the seat all the way down, and he wants to have a bit of an easier reach to the ground right now. So he's looking forward to riding it once he grows another inch or so, which will probably be another week or two at the rate he's going.

I'm not sure how old I was when I learned to ride a bike, but I'm pretty sure it was older than he is now, and he's been riding for a while. Maybe quite a bit older. A little surprising, considering how much of a bike guy my father was. But we didn't really have any good place to ride at the house ("steep" dirt driveway of of a very busy road), so that slowed me down. I kind of made up for it some later.

Yes, even with his head start it’s quite possible that Lukas will ride a lot less in his lifetime than you have!
