Us either! Didn’t recognise you at first behind your glasses, and never really expect to see anyone across there!

The road through Trustach is lovely on the gravel bike (as is the riverside track) and much nicer than the climb out and over the hill at the moment unfortunately. Far too trashed by forestry. Not a bad place to have on your doorstep :-)

yeh next time you should just keep going along the river and go through lodge gardens and out onto the main road along their drive, and avoid that hill! Yeh felt very lucky over lockdown in summer to have trustach as our wee playground

...do they not get upset at you biking or running through the lodge gardens? It would be loads better.

I've felt a bit guilty going through there - done it 2 or 3 times, but never had any hassle... unlike at the east end!

We always used to go through the west end, cutting through the wood to the drive I think way back in the day, then across the road and up over Sluie Hill but then stopped doing it and then various folk talked about it...IanW recently stopped cycling it because the guy made noises about it, maybe during Covid times though. East end factor was always a right ...xxpleasant gentleman.

I remember one time cycling past a parked landrover at the east end and it then caught us up, guy asked what we were doing so I just said "Scottish outdoor access code" and cycled away... He didn't follow us.
