Never skied there. This year you had to be a member to ski and trail conditions were only sent out to club members.

Brian said it was very recreational and the "serious" skiers in Guelph skied at another spot?
I'm still hoping to get to Orangeville on a non-weekend as well as more places further north.

I used to ski a few times at Eden Mills when I lived in Guelph but that was when their trails were in Eden Mills itself. It used to be run by Richard Leigh, former Guelph Gator. Looks like a nice place to ski when it is isn't windy (lots of exposed fields).

The Start of the recent Ontario Champs Long was right on those trails!
Looks like the other Guelph ski trails here:

Richard Lay, his daughter Adele skied for XC Ottawa, did a bit of Orienteering I think.

I think I remember a Ski-O there in the early 2000s?

Re Orangeville: If you mean Mono Nordic, a non-weekend is recommended. If you mean Hockleycrest, it's never crowded but trails are currently closed due to icy conditions.

Weekends at Mono are members only.

Nev-Monster:
Yep, but Orangeville I should have said Mono, they are members only for weekends so will be a weekday.
That sucks that Hockleycrest is closed, really hope there's a wee bit more snow so I can ski.
I think Collingwood this weekend is my plan!

Bash:
Ah, I didn't know that about Mono. We used to be members but it got too expensive having so many XC ski club memberships.

Hockleycrest will reopen when it warms up or when it snows. There is plenty of snow. It's just hard as rock right now.

Since we are discussing it, upper rez is closed too. May be skiable tomorrow if warm enough. Unfortunately open for everybody i.e dogs and hikers ...:-)

I imagine Hilton Falls is toast as well?

By the way, spring classic skiing is the most underrated skiing. Get that Rosa klister ready!

GN will remain open only members from the Parry Sound region for the rest of the 2020-2021 season. This region is still in a stay at home order

re: Ski-O

Yeah it was super windy and I remember Markez made his own map holder and it ended up choking him because if twisted round and round over and over again.

That is amazing about Markez, I'd expect nothing less.
