Pity one of the most spectacular bits (above Bridgewater Bay) is no longer accessible - officially at least - after a cliff collapse.

Yeah it's a great track! I'm keen to try the whole thing (in bits most likely!), curious to see what it's like closer to Cape schanck.

We got a bit lost actually haha, tried to start at Portsea surf beach but couldn't find the trail until we got to sorrento back beach then got about to Bridgewater Bay before turning around. It was a terrible weekend to do it though - the peninsula was packed!

I don't think there is a trail out of Portsea - you go along the beach and then there's a track up off the beach when you get to the rocks at the southeast end of the beach.

Ah right, that makes sense now! I better find a proper map before attempting the other end of it haha
