5000 meters.....excellent!
It's the
Mud Season Madness Challenge!. You know, the month when you can't set foot off the pavement for a trail run without slipping and sliding?
Not sure how long I want to keep this up, but it is not lost on me how steady you, coach, have been with this over the last several years, and it seems to do you a lot of good. I think it would be beneficial for me to shoot for, say 40-50k per month in the future. Do something 4 or 5 days a week. Doing 5k every day is making me pretty tired. When and if I make the 25 days challenge, I’ll take a few days off to reflect on how I feel.
Many times, as I might be standing around contemplating if I should get on the erg, I say, well, you might as well be rowing as standing here.....what else are you going to do for the next 10, or in your case 22, minutes? No matter how fast or slow, just hop on.
It's a good discipline. I am trying to reorient myself to rowing being a routine activity. I find that if I take a couple of days off, it stretches into a week or more before I know it.
It IS a good discipline. And I know I'll feel better afterward. BTW did you guys see this article on 5ks?
