I read the depression to the right of the line as a high point and lost contact. Al then shot across from the left so that drew me down, corrected, read the high point then the next mess was spotting a control.
Lord Fa'avae was to my right the whole time. Was possibly a minute down on him by 10, But Old Man Forne and Ayrton came through then and dragged me back on, read the lines better than Nath and let him lead 11-17.
Interestingly splits show that by 17 I was a minute up on ACW, no idea where I passed him.
Really enjoy the intensity of a relay. Just good fun.

edit:
7 - extension of the lack of confidence on 6. total time lost was 30-60s, likely 60. Nath had exited 5 in front of me.

That last loop is an unholy mess of controls - almost forgivable to miss one out given that

Easy to do - I was the only one in my team who managed to go to all the controls round that bit!

Lost concentration Bill. Had pre read the map and knew I needed a hard right and hard right through the last few and went right out of 19 while Nick went left and I just forgot to check the map and got in a foot race, which I lost. Apparently Al made the same error but did check when on the flat.
