Last night we were talking to our friend who rescued Logan and Storm Racing’s two dogs from northern Quebec. She is still getting dogs during the pandemic. If you’re interested, I could put you in touch. We both gave you an A+ recommendation. :)

Aww, thank you both so much!! I do want a baby though and need to know what I am getting into. So after wresting with this decision for a long time I will go with an Aussie breeder (having another lab would be too difficult ). It's a tough one as I do think it is more ethical to rescue. I still fee somewhat guilty about this so maybe a donation to a rescue organization would be the thing to do .

Totally understand - no need to feel guilty. Richard's sister (a vet) described it to us as like adopting a child, i.e. there is some additional uncertainty although you can reduce that through breed choice. We rescued Brody at 4 months so we got a baby and I'd forgotten how hard that stage is. When you've lived for years with a well-behaved older dog, it's easy to forget that they used to chew up your shoes and steal an entire chicken off the counter! All the best with your new pooch. :)

That's a good way of looking at it. The timing is still up in the air, I am not getting caught up in the puppy craziness that is going around. Good time to do some puppy proofing though :).

I’ve heard prices are crazy from some breeders right now. Yes, puppy proofing is a good start. Eco lulled you into a false sense of security, lol!
