Definitely not one of my favorites. There are a few areas -- which Brown just barely got into, it looks like -- that are really nice. And a lot of not as nice areas. It's a tough place to set, having done it a couple times.
The area to the north is less pleasant. The map goes all the way around the lake but the terrain is better to the south, even with the hills and other things.
It was fun to see and talk with you and Glen! And I'm glad I'm not the only person who dines at Panera after orienteering ;-) (Sam and I ate at Wendy's while Nadim was picking up controls.)

Great to chat with you too! Yes, Mid-Atlantic terrain has it's plusses and minuses, that's for sure. I still think park rangers should keep herds of goats to consume brambles. I supposed another possibility is controlled burns, and while faster than goats, they can be unpredictable and hard to schedule.

Post-orienteering dining favorites include Panera (usually easy to find when traveling, at least in the East), pizza, Five Guys burgers, or Thai places; or sometimes brewpubs. This Panera happened to be right along our route (just off Rt 30 on the west side of Lancaster), and there were also Chipotle and Firehouse Subs (also yummy!) to choose among, and Starbucks just down the street.

Assuming I-95 would be horrendous on a Sunday evening, we swung west of Baltimore and headed up I-83 toward York. We detoured off I-83 early, though, after seeing signs of "highway closed at exit14"; saw later there was a fatal motorcycle accident there. :-( But I'm happy we have traffic apps to help guide us around bottlenecks.
