Too bad, she looked so pretty in the kayak! But as you say, not worth it.

I gave her sandwich pieces that were in the bag but nuthin' doin', she was already focused on being somewhere else, not in a dang kayak, in spite of what appears to be
contentment. I was all for 200+% pacification:-).
The kayak is pretty stable being for two people but I was concerned about somehow managing to capsize it because of her unpredictability with our being away from shore.
In spite of the fun places the back of the car takes her, she's generally reluctant to get in it. Both before and at the end of a walk, she needs to be put on a leash to get in. Beth surmises this goes back to age eight weeks when she was precipitously removed from her litter mates and taken to and away in that very same space. This is her negative response. Dogs can be complicated!
