Discussion: Huge effort

In a few days I hope you can reflect on this huge achievement. We've been hanging on for Results - yes it's all about us! So sorry for the depleted ranks but a super event nonetheless.

Thanks Jenny for a very excellent rogaine. Well worth the effort of getting to SA.

Not surprised there were a few teams caught out by the cold. There were a lot of people looked to be travelling pretty light. We ended up taking our puffys out cos the we figured we didn't want to be relying on a space blanket for warmth if we had issues. Ended up wearing them for the second half of the night (+ several layers of thermals).

And congratulations to you Anna - great result!

I feel bad that I didn’t realise the person who normally uploads results would still be camped at the HH site on Sun night and out of mobile range.

Looks like just two of the 51 registered Vic entrants made it and Richard R ended up with two Canberrans after all that!

Results were still uploaded quicker than for WA rogaines.

We lost quite a few South Australians to the travel restrictions too, in one team's case because their intended babysitters got stuck on the wrong side of the border.
