Reports of finishers at the 6-hr course revealed issues on two controls. It was determined that one flag was positioned on an unmapped distinctive tree, and another flag was positioned not on a hilltop but on a location nearby but could not be seen due to vegetation. Both locations that should have had a flag positioned on that spot, had ribbons. The ribbons were placed in December 2019, and while placing controls, it was not unusual to find missing ribbons. That may have lead into making an easy assumption that ribbons were missing in these two control locations as well, and a flag was positioned anyway.

The final results will have to be corrected. Report any correction to be made to the club registrar/contact.

Well at least you're willing to credit the points for missing/misplaced controls. It got to a stage with our local events where if a control was misplaced and you didn't find it, the course setter would say 'oh well, bad luck everyone was in the same boat and some teams found it - no points if you didn't'. Yeah but not everyone on the course went to that control and lost time looking for it!
