You don't really get the benefit for a day or 2, and they get less painful and more useful when you get them semi regularly.
You need a short easy run after them to flush the crap they've released out of your system, and drink a pint of water to do similar, otherwise it can feel like you've got a hangover. At least that's what I've been told (mine today was the first in 16 months and it was like I've never had one before it was that sore). Good though, if not used to them they're meant to make you bite the pillow and feel like one false move amd they're wearing you as a glove at times! My masseuse used to be a soigneur on the Festina team around the time they got booted out of the '98 Tour, so must have some stories to tell!

Thanks, that's useful. He did tell me to drink a pint of water afterwards and I duly obliged.. How regularly is semi regularly?
