After the disappointment of having to postpone our September NRE ROC is happy to announce that we will be hosting the 2022 Billygoat and Overlook NRE on May7th and 8th, 2022. The NRE Overlook Middle will take place on a new map at Harriet Hollister State Recreation area on Saturday starting 1PM and the Billygoat will start at 10AM on Sunday, May 8th at Letchworth State Park West. The event has been moved from the East side to avoid a conflict with the turkey hunting season. This will mark the 42nd annual edition of the BG. Some history, http://www.billygoat.org/articles.html

There will be a shorter version. What is the correct terminology? Bubba Goat? Baby Goat? Mini Goat?

Not Bubba; that's Georgia's goat event. Pygmy and Kid have both been used for the NE (by that I mean northeast, not New England, as it's been held periodically outside of New England) Billygoat's short version.

Back in 2012 I staged a Bubba Goat in Florida. The shorter version was called the Mini-Goat.
Since then our Florida goat-style events have been called the Navi-Gator and mini-gator. but that is beside the point.

It seems like only yesterday that PG was heard to say "I don't know when the next Billygoat will be, but I know it will be at Pond Mountain."

Bubba Goat moves around the southeast.
The WCOC leadership was consulted about whether they wanted to make use of the fact that they kind of had dibs on the event, to see if they wanted to do Pond Mountain, and they said Letchworth sounded like a fine idea.
