It sounds like you might be away from the worst of it. How have you been affected?

Yes crazy weather - I'm curious to see how long travel will be affected. Hwy 1 and 5 look like major issues. The highway between here and Sicamous has been closed on and off due to debris on the road but no major damage. Much of our precipitation fell as wet snow which slows the run off rate... and now it has cooled off so things are frozen.

Our biggest issue so far is lack of produce at the grocery store.

That's a big impact. Is Hwy 1 OK to the east? Maybe the Carbons could be convinced to come for a ski and bring along some broccoli and bananas. :)

Hwy 1 east of Golden is currently closed for construction (planned final section of the Kickiing Horse canyon project) so detour required via Radium. From the sounds of it rail lines through the Fraser Canyon have also been significantly affected. No trains running today...
