Bash: I have great memories of similar snooping expeditions in Algonquin Park while 'Bent and I were engaged.

Leanimal: Unfortunately the first time we can make it up there is the weekend of March 8th but the Thomass is the next day. Phatty says we don't have to do a site visit but I disagree! I might have to take a day off during the week to go up with my mom or something for a visit and question period. Unless maybe you would be interested and we could combine a site visit with some training and I have a feeling you would know all of the right questions to ask whereas I will likely forget the most important ones.

Bash: I'd be happy to make a road trip with you some week day. I'll dig out our wedding "project plan" to find all the relevant arrangements that we dealt with - mountain biking, ceremony location, canoe rental, wedding dinner, hiking trail maps, etc.

Slice: How 'bout the first week of March and I'll meet you two up there! I have that week off....

Bash: Works for me. Or maybe you and I could just go up there and make some plans since Leanimal is so busy.

'Bent: Bash is definitely great at the wedding project plan, especially if it concerns canoes and bikes.

Leanimal: It would be quite funny for the three of us to be up there asking questions about potential orienteering courses and mountain biking trails while the woman asks if I have my flower arrangements set.......what flowers? I am hoping there will be plenty of red, orange, and yellow leaves to provide enough colour!!!

FB: Is there planning involved when you throw a wedding... I don't remember any... must have been a long time ago, 'cause I'm sure I would remember ;-)

... there was something about a ring, I think... and maybe some golf ;-)

#  Posted 2008-02-20 07:31:34
Bash: Don't be ridiculous, FB. You were the GROOM. What could you possibly know about your own wedding?

#  Posted 2008-02-20 18:09:06
FB: I thought all that stuff just happened... like some perpetual wedding-to-wedding osmotic flow of events

Men are blessed with a gift that all things just happen for them... it lasts forever or until you eat (your own) wedding cake ;-)

Bender: From my current position as a future groom, I find this planning stage difficult; generally goes like this...

Step 1 - I'm asked for input and give my opinion
Step 2 - My opinion is shred apart verbally and dismissed
Step 3 - Input is requested a second time on another matter
Step 4 - I stay silent having learnt my lesson already and for fear of verbal shredding
Step 5 - Am shred apart for not giving opinion
Step 6 - go to step 1 and repeat...

...it's an ongoing circuit that I'm guessing doesn't end with the wedding.

Bash: As Richard said in his speech at our wedding, the key to a long, successful marriage is to say those three special little words as often as possible: "You're right, dear."

#  Posted 2008-02-22 03:32:48
Bash: On the other hand, I think we're having this conversation on the wrong log. Leanimal is about as relaxed as any bride-to-be I've ever seen!

#  Posted 2008-02-22 04:51:36
FB: uh, oh... Phatty's in trouble... the "relaxed ones" are always hiding something ;-)

Sleep with one eye open dude!!!! ;-)
... this is also known as step # 7

#  Posted 2008-02-22 23:23:00
phatty: The moment when I learned that Leanimal was sketching what she wanted the cake to look like, I knew that the 'relaxed' Leanimal we all know was making the slow transition to BrideCougar.

FB: good to see you're paying attention to the implications of these little things Phatty... I think you just might survive it ;-)
