I never like the idea of sitting on a long flight in a dirty, stinky, post-orienteering condition, so I usually try to find a shower option. I called this place a few weeks ago and they offer a day pass for $10:

Towne Fitness Club
124-C Main St, LaGrange GA 30240
ph# 706-884-4653
https://www.townefitnessclub.com/about
Open on Sundays, 1pm - 6pm.
BYO lock; they have a towel service.

Thanks for the tip, btw FDR park is not muddy this season, covered with freshly-fallen leaves. My understanding is that showering every day is bad for your skin because it can remove essential oils and your skin may dry up as a result.

Yeah, but I do try to schedule my monthly shower right between a session of heavy physical exercise and boarding a plane. YMMV.

Yurets, I'm wondering if you read that advice on Gwyneth Paltrow's blog while buying scented candles? In any case, I'm disappointed to miss the opportunity to meet you in person at the event.

How did you know? Goop is my favorite place to get whatever I can't find in local TSC.

Mr Wonderful:
Any campground bathroom is open to the public if you park nonchalantly enough.

I confirmed that the campground showers at FDR are open and operational at this time of year. I do not know if they are readily available to non-campers.
