Are the dates off in the announcement? I see Apr 1-3 in the event info here on AP, and April 6-8 on the announcement, except Fri-Sun would be April 8-10 or Apr 1-3?

Which dates are correct?

Got an email from Mike - April 1-3 are the correct dates, website will be updated soon.

It is April 1-3. The one place I found where dates said 6-8 has been corrected (probably a left-over from when we originally planned to host Junior Nationals last year). If anyone finds anything else inconsistent, please email me. There may still be some inconsistencies or changes by a few days in the various registration cutoff dates; again this info is very preliminary - we will be adding more details soon.

Due to a variety of reasons -- not the least of which is covid uncertainty -- there will not be a sandwich sale fundraiser at Junior Nationals.

Other TBD food service might be available, however.

Hello, Any estimate for when the registration will open?

mikeminium:
We are still working out pricing on a couple extra items such as shirts.

Some event information has been updated here. There is now a locator map, t-shirt design, and a little preliminary information about the terrain. More will come in the coming days.

We are attempting to solve some issues with the Event Reg program, primarily that some of the data fields that were automatically collected for previous Intescholastic Championship events were changed or removed during Event Reg "upgrades", since the last Junior Nationals was held in 2019, and we are having to do some extra development work to be sure that we will collect all of the necessary information for smooth processing of entries and results.

>There is now a locator map

Is that one correct?
Feb 11, 2022 12:19 AM #
mikeminium:
Yes, the locator map is correct in that it shows the rough locations of each day's races in the park (Friday on the north, Saturday and Sunday on the south side of the park). The hotels and medical facilities shown on the map currently exist (several hotels had changed brands since we last used this area for a national event and that has been updated).

Might be a bad link, let me see if I can find it.

Found one bad link out of the 3 places on the main info page. Please let me know if you find any other errors.

Found one other bad link to Race Details. They should all be good now, but it is easy to miss one!

Any update on reg opening?
Mar 1, 2022 12:36 AM #
cmpbllv:
It's on Eventreg. I just registered our family and found it well-organized, with links to all the relevant Rules of Competition stuff for eligibility. I'm planning to Zoom with local kids who are unfamiliar with EventReg and Jr. Nats to walk them through the process, though. Might be hard to pick the right categories if you don't already know what you're looking at.

I just noticed the link for more event info on EventReg is broken (link at top). 2022 Event info can be found at: https://www.ocin.org/flying_pig/PigXXIV/entry_info...

The EventReg link should be fixed shortly. The actual registration links (buttons) appear to be working just fine.

Link that Clint mentioned is fixed.
Online Registration is open.

Thanks I had been checking the OCIN page for a number of weeks so guessing a number of people like me couldn’t find reg as being open.

Yes, it was just opened right about the time that you asked.
