bl: Nice running but go easy on the body, esp the Achilles. Racing flats at over-50 seems risky re lower extremity injury potential. Do a few ounces count in the long run?

I recall Tom Dederian's name from long ago. Recently have been running with someone from work who is attached to the running world in a way I was yrs ago - helps pick up the noon pace a bit.

Wish I could go cruising by PB:) ...say in a 5k...likely would be useful in the O endeavor. Looks like you'll leave me in the dust in the BG :)

PBricker: Yeah, wearing racing flats was risky in a hilly 10 mile road race. But I feel so much faster in light shoes! (Might be mostly psychological.)

Derderian is famous in these parts because he co-founded the running club I belong to, Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club (SMAC); and apparently he designed the course for the Amherst 10 mile race. But he had already left Western Mass for Boston by the time I moved here.

I see you've been doing some steady training. I might be smarter to follow you in the BG then "leave you in the dust" :)
