TN State Parks is not quite ready for a full range of courses. We will still have a 2 day "first date" meet and then plan on a 2 day full courses meet in April. Regardless, we do need experienced people at this event to help with holding clinics and to make TN State Parks more comfortable with us holding events in the future.

I could potentially attend. Do you have any snippets of the maps you could share to give people an idea of what to expect in that terrain?

Here's the map from the informal event Bruce hosted back in May. I know Bruce is working on mapping different areas of the park. I don't remember the contour interval, but I believe it was less than 2.5m.

GSwede: Would absolutely love to have you make the trip. And then again in April if that meet happens. The map sample above from Depot shows some areas that have been field checked. The contour interval makes it appear hilly but it is not. The terrain is very runnable in the winter. Cedar trees and stunted vegetation growth on thin soils makes it not fast but most of the vegetation is consistent with light green. Terrain is certainly interesting and can be challenging. Depot is correct. I am mapping a different area for beginner courses now but will get back out there in early Nov to map some more around this area.

What are all the pits from?

I figured the pits are just from all the karst.

I'd love to go, need to figure out if it's possible first.

Fun terrain, December should be a good time to run there.
