My recent experience of the plantation tallies with that - it has become a bramble fest in places, and suffers pretty badly with bracken in others. A lot of the time it's better running in the light green forest than the white. I think the open heath has got rougher too. There are some parts/areas that are still good in the main. Access issues mean there aren't as many events as there were, so we don't see them as often.

everywhere has got more overgrown... I remembered Brayton Barff (have you ever run there?) as a white forest and it is now completely covered in green stripes which were head high brambles and bracken!

Yeah, my Mum and Dad said it was pretty bad this weekend but I have good memories of running there a very long time ago!

Glad to know it’s not just in my head Ian, but a shame it’s getting overgrown and there’s not as much access anymore. Seems a common theme.

Needs a few good snowfalls and hard frosts to knock it back properly over winter.
