Thank you LAOC for making another great event at my favorite venue, Vasquez Rocks! I really like the changes made to the map for the new mapping standards.

Shoutout to Mr. Bruce Garbaccio for setting up these courses!

Shoutout to Nikita Phillips for signing up for the M-14 division, but then deciding to run in the Blue M-21 division BOTH DAYS!

Shoutout to Control 38!

I'm looking forward to see the new and improved Red Rock Canyon tomorrow! :D

(at the time of posting, I haven't seen the results posted on AttackPoint yet, but the Winsplits are here.)

there are some blank lines in those WinSplits

AttackPoint splits are out. It’s interesting because this is the first time that AttackPoint says that I had more errors (8:47) than Winsplits does (8:00) on 0:01/1% setting.

Edit: no Green AttackPoint splits as of now

Green splits are shown on a different event, WS Surebridge.

The blank lines are the result of a technical issue that resulted in import problems for anyone who started prior to the official first assigned start time.

Thank you @Charlie.

Those blanklined runners are completely missing in AP splits.

I'll add my blank lined splits to AP manually when I get a chance. Not a big deal to me at least. Just an artifact of being a pre-runner.

As Clare stated the blank lines were caused by people who started before the first official time. When the event software was set up the zero time for the event was set to the first official state time which is not the best practice. The splits time are output as relative to the event zero time so anyone that started before that gets some negative split times. Both Attachpoint and Winsplits cannot handle these. Winsplits accepts that exported file but just puts in blanks in the results. But Attachpoint will not accept the file at all so I had to manually delete the affected people. That is why they do not show up in Attackpoint but do in Winsplits.

Are maps up on routegadget or livelox or somewhere else where they can be found?
Nov 14, 2022 4:33 PM #
E:
LAOC does not typically do RouteGadget or Livelox for their events, so there are three likely options:

LAOC decides to let another club or RG app hold the map data so it is at least there for us

OR...

In the past, such as for the NJROTC Championships in 2019, the maps were uploaded as Google Drive links onto the website (the old one). Source: web.archive.org

OR...

There will not be any RG/LL/map post and people who participated in each course might have to upload individual map pictures to a forum page.

I've put the maps with the Brown, Brown, and Brown Y courses on my log. The courses may not interest most, and the maps for the sprint and long don't cover all the terrain that was used as we got 1:7,500 versions, but it's something.

We talked about putting them up on RouteGadget. I will check on that status of that.

High quality full scale versions of either Red or Blue from each event (S/M/L) will be featured in the 2022 OUSA Year in Review which should hit mailboxes in early January if you're a member of OUSA.

@Rick, Julian Conradi should be listed as a BAOC member in the results on W-Rec for both Sat/Sun.
