At first I thought this meant that the ministers would be impolite to the congregation, in the style of Karen's Diner:

That thought did cross my mind too.

Incidentally, the diner was in the news during the week for allegedly treating its staff like they do their customers.
...which is how I came to hear of such a restaurant chain.
Mind you, I didn't even know the term until the "Bunnings Karen" video went viral during lockdown.
That was the first I'd heard of Karens too. I thought that was when she was created.
I didn't realise it was a meme because the first time I came across it was when somebody who actually was called Karen made the news for doing something racist in Mildura.
Just to show that they have been unfairly maligned, a poll at the time of the US presidential election surveying voting intentions by name found that out of the 10 most common male and 10 most common female names, Karens were the least likely to support Trump.
