How possible is it that those would have been the most obvious items if someone had broken in - no chance that they can have fallen down somewhere/become buried under other stuff?

Train of events is very clear - came home from lunch, needing to go to loo, took watch off near front door, raced into bathroom, then went downstairs to get changed, came back up stairs (ie 5 stairs) and went about afternoon. Noticed when I turned alarm on when went out to Soccer that table clear, as usual, forgetting I'd left watches there. Then couldn't find sports watch for Street event, then checked box for good watch - empty. Really hope I feel very stupid some time in the future, but checked all possible places - and most unrealistic places. Sports watch I can understand it going "somewhere" as used often, but good watch goes in box, on arm or on table momentarily.

I always lose things thinking I put them in the 'usual' spot then Tash finds them for me later somewhere else. Shame I didn't have her with me when I lost my key at the airport yesterday. Perhaps I can loan her out to you.

As much as I would enjoy Tash's company, I don't think she can work wonders. Mind you your suggestion is preferable to that of an elderly relative who suggested I arm myself with a baseball bat. And she wasn't joking.

Have you looked in the fridge? (Just joking as l am sure you haven't 'lost it' - figuratively speaking).
Sorry to hear about the watches - the burglar would have thought that was a good enough haul without going further. Is there any way you can track their location?

Most of those watches have a 'find me' which you can use to find your phone or watch. I've used the find my phone soooo many times with my watch, which is why I feel naked without it on.

However if you are out of Bluetooth range, and it sounds like you would be then thats a no go.

If it's an Apple watch they probably have a track me feature. I've not used one so don't know. But if the theif was smart they would have factory reset the watch immediately and it is probably on the way to a cash converters or Facebook marketplace.

I hope you've made a police report? If you let me know the "box" details I can setup some alerts for Facebook marketplace sales and cash converters for you.

Thank you everyone - that is lovely. The digital watch is of no consequence really and certainly not of recent vintage. Yes I've submitted a police report. Tash thank you for the opportunity of alerts. It's certainly nothing I know how to do. Brief description is: gold Citizen watch. Rectangular face, also gold. Bracelet style band, adjustable. [Of course the gold isn't gold] Engraving: On our 10th, but forever.
The silver bangle: (real) silver, amulet style, linear design embossed.
Both really sentimental - the silver bangle was one of a set of 5 from Cambodia given to each of the women in the family.(1 each).

I've got some alerts set up, so far nothing that matches your criteria but I'll keep a look out. Hoping we find them!
