Both teams 3-3 at the moment with some bad losses. Orange likely to lose against Illinois tomorrow night. Could be a long winter.

Hopefully this will work to the respective team's advantage. Future opponents may be lulled into thinking games against Syracuse and Wyoming won't be much more than walk-throughs, with the players who hardly ever see anything but garbage minutes being brought out early. By the time they figure out their mistake, it will be too late. Or at least time for a media break (which seem to occur every few minutes.)

What do you mean by it *could* be a long winter, though? The news is it has snowed so much in Buffalo that it has depressed the earth's crust so significantly that there is real danger that the rest of New York state is going to all end up in Buffalo, and that Connecticut could be ensnared as well. I guess it's a good thing the Bills spent so much time this summer doing snow shovel drills.

If Maldo can avoid repeat encounters of head vs teammate's knee, and once Ike is liberated and set free on the floor to wreak havoc, then things should be looking better for the Cowboys.

Also, the Cowboys don't have to worry about playing North Carolina, Illinois and Duke.

Think my kitchen chair is leaning a bit today toward Buffalo.

At the end of a long series of meetings this afternoon that didn't end until 8:30 or so, I got in my truck and while I was starting it, I turned on the radio. And the very first thing was the trailing end of a sports segment; someone was saying "as long as you don't lose by more than 30, there's no shame." I didn't know what they were talking about until I got home and checked scores. Ouch.

If the Cowboys end up playing North Carolina, Illinois, and Duke, it will be a very, very good season!

I listened to some of yesterday's game on the radio. Maldonado was out with "concussion protocol." You'd think that would hurt Wyoming's offense. And maybe it did. But they scored 1.21 points per possession.

I also learned that former Jayhawk and current NBA player Christian Braun's brother plays for Santa Clara.

It was very close, and Wyoming played well enough to win, which is encouraging after the previous 3 games. Reynolds had a career game. Next up is Grand Canyon, on Saturday I think.

Still no sign of Nathan Barnhart (except at Walmart, very sparingly in terms of minutes.)

Prior to yesterday, I hadn't seen any direct mention that Maldo was in concussion protocol, though given what happened, it's not a surprise.
