I'm looking for book recommendations for sports injury prevention/recovery, preferably related to running/trail running/orienteering of course (but hopefully including things for related activities like cycling, etc).
Any favorites out there?
I don't know of any books, but cross-training exercise helps. Making stretching/flexibility a part of your life will help prevent injury, and various PT and other exercises will help you recovery from injury -- such as Pilates, yoga, core exercises, weight lifting, etc. Sorry I can't help you with a book. :-)
I hurt my quad playing baseball, and my coach, who's a doctor, told me that staying hydrated, getting potassium, and stretching before a game helps to prevent injury.
