sometimes home field advantage is a disadvantage. Sure you have a good idea on how to get somewhere but is it the best way and you may be less careful.

Also when the maps are good the advantage isn’t as good as one may think. it’s when maps that are poor where home field advantage really helps (or at least that’s my theory).

So just face the reality that you are a good navigator (better than you give yourself credit for) when you have more confidence.

Interesting - our split was 29:44. (I notice you compared yourself to Beowulf rather than us, lol.) Did you start from the Duffy's parking lot? Did you bikewhack or do all the riding?

I did the same bikewhacks we planned. Home field advantage let me avoid some short but heinous bikewhacks.

Looks like I counted the time back to the start at the parking lot, but teams could head straight back from the last control so a few min less.

Bash might have had a couple of better route choices than me.
