Ja tror att i dag är inte den första gången du har bli oglad när du har springat i det där området. Jag håller med: det är en vacker plats -- för en besök. Och så stannade jag hemma i år, NAOC eller inte.

+1 (and I also had the good sense not to go to Maine either, thereby also avoiding failing Orienteering 101)

Yes, I remember another excursion--in an area just up from the north part of Lake Tahoe, where a large part of the map was filled with unpleasant bushes in an otherwise largely detail free area, and obscuring a number of already very obscure controls. I left that course early.

And while the area is one of the most beautiful anywhere, my impression is that since I was last at Tahoe traffic around the lake has become much worse.

There was also the very memorable event at Fallen Leaf Lake (the southwest corner of Tahoe) in 2003.
