We've been putting out tethers the late afternoon before and then just flag and stand on the morning. Saves a lot of time and can do the sharing/checking that way too.

....huh. That's an excellent idea Jenny, and I might steal it as well. We have to turn all our controls on as well (yay, thank you SI Air), so I wonder if we can combine the two if the stands are already out and checked....

I put numbered pink tapes with the stands, of course. Apparently SI Air can be set with quite a long “on time” so they don’t all have to be woken up on the morning of the event? I don’t even want to think about that headache for next Easter…

My standard practice, but then, I did lose 2 stands at the ToDay :(

Just get the early starting volunteers to turn on the bricks ala Simmo style or else send all non-Air competitors out first as they won't notice any difference and will turn them all on beacon ;-) The default 'on' time for Air is 12 hours but that's a bit useless if bricks are going out the day before. I'm sure it can be made longer but I don't know what the maximum is (BSF11 is 96 hours!)
