Some people are probably worrying already that the terrain for the Unfair Race is going to be unfair. It just goes to show that some people can worry about anything. How can the terrain be unfair?

Well, nothing to worry about here. The terrain is perfectly fine, just maybe a little detail poor here and there. See--take a look at this:

You do have to click on these pictures to see the whole thing. Maybe that's a little unfair.

And then I know as soon as folks look at that, someone is going to think: "I bet it doesn't look like that all of the time. It's probably a once in 500 year shot."

Well of course it doesn't look like that all time. We do have winters you know, with snow and stuff on the ground. Anyway, it looks like that a lot of the time, at least in the morning before the big daily monsoon storms come in the afternoon. Wait a moment, when was it we're planning to start this race? 12 noon? Oh well, maybe you'll get wet. But that's okay. You'll dry out in time for a new race the next day.

In the meantime, just look at the scattered sage, and a few small aspens, and a pine tree off to the side, and dream and dream and dream about how unfair it is all going to be!

Ditto! But also unfair that people will be tempted to stop to enjoy the views rather than racing through the aspen.
