In late June, I went to represent the United States at the World Youth ARDF Championships in Városlőd, Hungary. Check out my experience here!

Also in radio orienteering news, the US Radio Orienteering Team will head to Czechia for the 2023 World Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) Championships beginning August 27! Send positive vibes to the 21 US team members!

BOK is awesome. They held regular local meets in 2020 during the plandemic on their new Rock Garden map.

Luckily, we have some great promoters of radio orienteering at BOK.

Nadia is such a helpful coach and gets everyone motivated.
Ruth and Joseph have done the heavy lifting to prepare the club to make radio O a regular thing.
Then there is Charles, who has set the last three(?) US Champs and countless practices this year, leading up to the world champs.

Keeping our fingers crossed for exciting results soon at, but the competition will be as tough as Adalia described it.

Here are some of the USA team updates:

Overall the USA Radio Orienteering Team scored a team bronze medal in a Classic Race (W55 - Nadia and Natalia), Ruth Bromer finished with an individual Silver medal in the Foxoring race in W65, Nadia also had two 4th place finishes, and there were several top-10 finishes for USA during the championship.

Another noteworthy item is the team had more 1st timers than they've ever had historically so the team got a lot of valuable experience that will hopefully serve as a great foundation for the future!

Congrats to the whole team! And see you all here in Michigan for the USA Championship in a year!
