A pool on a hot public holiday is going to be crowded enough as it is without having free entry as well.

"Access to Penrith Beach will only be permitted with a valid parking pass or shuttle bus pass."
Apparently there are 700 free parking spots released for each day but they are only available a few days in advance and always book out so the only other way of getting in, is to catch a pre-booked shuttle (also free) from the train station!

My brother in law has been there though in his emergency services role (just for a briefing) and mentioned the portaloos...

I guess, at least there are no sharks.

And I surmising that the recent VERY hot weather would have tested the facilities.
