Thx :) What are your thoughts on heart rate monitors?

I generally trust my watch, I have a Garmin forerunner 255. It’s usually pretty consistent with my perceived effort. I haven’t really tried anything like a chest or arm heart rate monitor, but I do think that they are generally more reliable.

Highly suggest a chest monitor if you are going to base your training off of hr (which is great, love it)

Yeah. I’ve only used a Garmin watch, too, but I’ve been thinking about using a chest monitor

I have a Polar chest monitor that I always try to use for cross training cardio stuff, I tend to trust it way more. And if on a stationary machine it's super easy to set up your phone with the live hr feed so you can just look up at it (particularly helpful for skierg, rowerg training)
