Torch fail enhancing the event! Should happen to everyone every so often.

But not ever so often :( On the bright side, I couldn't have chosen a better event for a torch fail :)

Put the Scottish Nights in Deeside or Moray every year and have top quality technical areas… or have I missed the memo about night-O needing to be TD3 for insurance purposes?

The memo is that SNC rotates and SOLWAY is a tiny club with few decent areas. It was actually a very pleasant evening out, good venue and a nice atmosphere. The only thing lacking being technical orienteering.

And maybe Graeme doesn’t want the ‘excitement’ of a torch fail at the top of Birsemore in the snow!

I don't care for rotating the event around the Areas/regions - it has to be hard as nails wherever it is. Solway could have done that. They didn't read the rules well enough in my mind. If you can't provide the right offering open it up to another club/area that could! Grrrr!!!

I've no problem with a torch fail on top of Birsemore in the snow, because I can 100% guarantee it won't be me that it happens to.
